Born from a passion of antiques over many years and modern interior styling interests, Antiquity is no longer a vision and emerged a reality in November 2004. Peter and Marga wanted to offer a range of Period Furniture consisting of Victorian, Edwardian and, occasionally, Georgian items that were of good quality and at an affordable level. We also wanted to offer an exciting and varied range of Modern Interior Furnishings to demonstrate how flexible ‘old’ can be with ‘new’.
A desire to be different, to offer a more personal one-to-one service, assisting clients with their current or future requirements in a friendly and relaxed environment was the aim. To be located within traditional period premises, in a prestigious, easy-to-access location, was equally important as well as now offering our products to a wider audience electronically.
Due to the overwhelming demand for our products by new and repeat clients over the last 6 months of trading, it has now been necessary to build upon these achievements to offer a wider range in both product areas. Our focus remains the same however, with demand at such a level, the inevitable expansion of the local market place for Antiquity has now been extended to a national level via our website, providing all existing and potential clients an instant opportunity to view what we have to offer.
